In my practice, I "partner" with my clients to help them
create a life worth living! I help people grow into their
lives, dreams and opportunities. I work with people to help them
achieve results and sustain life-changing behavior in their lives
and their career. All human beings are resourceful, creative and
whole; therefore, I address the whole person – body, mind
and spirit – with an emphasis on producing action and uncovering
learning that can lead to more fulfillment, more balance and a more
effective process for living and realizing their potential.
The
word “Maitri” creates the foundation and intention for
my work with others. Maitri is a Tibetan word that that translates
into loving kindness toward self and others. Maitri is an attitude
of friendliness and acceptance. My work is to remind and teach clients
to pay kind attention to the essence of who they are and to work
with that essence rather than against it.
I
offer clients a sense of presence and attention that they might
never have received before. Working with a dynamic toolbox of ideas,
teachings, previous education and a great interest and passion for
others, my work with clients offers great value, transformation
and great insight into who they are and how they want to be in the
world.
People
who have worked with me have changed their lives! They have
made decisions, completed many to-dos, have created a new relationship
with themselves, have increased their self-awareness, have lost
weight, have created fitness plans and schedules, have improved
their relationships with spouses and significant others, have made
themselves more of a priority, have created and achieved new goals
and have appreciated the support of knowing that they are heard.
Although
I have been coaching people all my life, I began a more formal training
in my gifts and interests when I went to The Naropa University (www.naropa.edu)
for a Masters degree in Psychology: Contemplative Psychotherapy.
After working in the therapeutic world for several years, I enrolled
in Coach University (www.coachu.com)
and began fine-tuning my skills into an action-oriented, solution-focused
coaching practice. I love coaching because I work with people who
are ready to do their work and ready to take action towards transformation
and insight in their lives. The coaching relationship creates a
synergy that produces accelerated growth and learning for my clients.
I love witnessing their transformation into the person they want
to be.

“What
is normal for you is enthusiasm. What is normal for you is
laughing a lot . . .
many, many times a day. Feeling strong and secure. Feeling
so much self-confidence, so sure about who you are, that when
you look at others, you’re always in a position to uplift
them. What is normal for you is to have so much energy that
at the end of the day, you are still looking for things to
do. Having such a passion for life that you’re eager
to get together with other people to hear about what they’re
doing – to see if it’s anything you might want
to turn a little of your attention to. To have so much energy
at the end of the day, that you’re already eagerly planning
tomorrow. Feeling disappointed that the sun goes down and
enthusiasm that the sun comes up. What is normal is a zest
for life beyond anything that most of you . . . have remembered
or felt in a long, long time.”
